My screen started flickering just 3 months beyond the 3-year replacement period. Microsoft refuses to grant me an exception and instead is offering two options, both of which just mean me giving them yet more money. How is this even legal??? Has anyone else encountered this problem and found a better solution? The two options they offer are a) give them $450 for a refurbished machine (which people on this same forum say they start flickering again) or b) accept a $200 credit toward the purchase of a new Microsoft product (i.e., buy something that will give them even more money). This stinks of a scam. Anyone else had this problem???
