I called Microsoft about a year ago, while still in Warranty told them about my SP4 with flickering screen they agreed to change it for a refurbed one, until I told them that the Kickstand had gone wrong and somehow was stuck so I forced it slightly to open it and it snapped off, they would not allow me to change this item even though this should also be a warranty issue, a case of one department not talking to another, either way we are stuck with a defective machine, not our fault.

Microsoft response not very helpfull
Spoke to Microsoft UK today
I finally got Microsoft on the phone, and they did not question about the Flickering Problem in My Surface Pro 4 just under 3 years old, they were going to swap it in Germany for another unit, until I mentioned that the Kickstand was damaged.
Immediately the screen and the Kickstand would have to be paid for, I love the Surface when its working, but over the last year the charger has broken, Kickstand Snapped and I have 3 Keyboards that stopped working.
RE: My SP4 flicker, workaround and possible reasons
I tried this - Ran Trailer's in Windows Movies and TV app reduced the size, I could live with that but no still flickers, but after I switch off the app everything goes cool and flicker stops grrrr!!! Thanks for the suggestion.
